December 2019 PlayStation Plus Free Games

Can you believe it's December? I sure can't. That being said, it's a new month. You know what that means—two new free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

The first game is a game that is highly regarded by those who have played it. If you haven't bought the game even though it has been on sale for less than $10 countless times (there's a number... I just don't know it...), then you're in luck. Assuming you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you can get Titanfall 2 for free starting today. The other game is Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame. So, Titanfall 2 is free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. How cool is that?

Year-to-Date Savings: $894.70

There you have it. You end up saving $59.98 this month assuming you haven't bought either of these games. I already have Titanfall 2, but I am excited about the idea of more and more people having access to such a great game. The multiplayer is pretty fun and I don't really care for multiplayer games.

January 2019 PlayStation Plus Free Games

Happy New Year, everyone! It's now 2019 and today so happens to be Tuesday and a new month, meaning PlayStation Plus subscribers get new free games. It's sad to think that March will be the last time PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita users will ever get free games as PlayStation Plus subscribers, so hopefully those users get spoiled in the time that remains. Honestly, I personally think this month looks great for gamers with a PS3. You'll see why soon. On to the list.

PlayStation Plus October 2017: MGSV: The Phantom Pain is Free for PS Plus Subs

The PlayStation Blog is up to their usual antics. I usually wait until the day of to write this post, but I'm so excited about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain being free for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Like Final Fantasy XV last year, I played this game practically everyday from release day to the end of 2015. Although it may not be my favorite Metal Gear game in the series (that belongs to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater), the gameplay is phenomenal.

There are so many ways to complete a mission, and you feel so freaking awesome no matter how you do it. For example, I got very frustrated one time because I kept getting caught by the guards that I decided enough was enough and started shooting down helicopters with an RPG and going to town on everyone else with every weapon I brought with me. All I wanted to do was sneak around the base, maybe knock out some people with tranquilizers or choke holds... but, no. Didn't happen. In fact, it was a lot like this:

Anyway, this game is a lot of fun. I can't say much about the other games since I have yet to play them, but I definitely think MGSV makes having PlayStation Plus worth it this month. Here's the rest of the lineup:

PlayStation Plus: September 2017 Free Games

It's the first Tuesday of a new month, and you know what that usually means on the PlayStation Store: new games to download for free if you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

As always, I'll include the current price of the games, add up the total, and show you how much you save this month with PlayStation Plus... assuming you don't own any of these games.

Looking at the list on the PlayStation Store, I don't have any of these games. I inFAMOUS Second Son when it was originally released. It's a fun game. The story is rather lackluster, but the gameplay is fun, so I do recommend giving it a try. Especially if you've played inFAMOUS and inFAMOUS 2 on the PlayStation 3.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for June

Yesterday, the PlayStation Blog announced which games were coming to PlayStation Plus. If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you might be happy with this list. If you aren't, this list may compel you to join this month. Personally, there's one game on this list that I'm excited for everyone to play. I haven't played it myself, so I'm not quite sure why I'm all that excited, but I know it's a game I'd enjoy playing. And I think everyone else would. That game is Life is Strange. I'll definitely do my best to play it this month. I already have it. I just haven't gotten around to playing it. But that's not what you're here for. PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2017

Yesterday, the PlayStation Blog revealed the May's PlayStation Plus lineup of free games. As always, we will list the title of the game, the console it is for, and its current price on the PlayStation Store. We'll even inform you if the game is a cross buy game, meaning that a free PS Vita game is a cross buy game with the PS4 version, then you end up getting both versions. That won't change the amount of money you end up saving as a PlayStation Plus user though.

The game I can personally vouch for this month is Patapon 3. I bought it years ago for the PSP and I loved it. It is a fun rhythm game with a neat story and great music. Other than that, August seems to be another lackluster month for "free" games. Tricky Towers seems interesting, but I don't know how much time I'll actually invest into it considering I'm still playing Overwatch. Overwatch is life.

PlayStation Plus Recap

The last time I wrote about PlayStation Plus was back in March. I would say it is hard to believe that I went three months without writing about the games available on PlayStation Plus, but this is me that we are talking about here. I'll focus a tad more on what's available this month, but let's begin with what was available in April and May.

In the first six months of 2016, a total of $670.64 has been saved for PlayStation Plus subscribers, assuming you didn't already own any of these games. Even then, it's easy to see that within a month or two you're already getting back what you paid for. Sure, not every game may be a game you want, but it's hard to deny great games such as Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Super Stardust HD, and Gone Home: Console Edition. These games alone make up for the yearly $49.99 subscription fee.

That being said, I'm interested to see what Sony gives us PlayStation Plus subscribers next month. Rumor has it that games such as The Evil Within and Resident Evil 6 may make their way to PlayStation Plus for the month of July. We'll have to wait until the PlayStation Blog says what's coming for July, but I wouldn't mind if we got either of those games, if not both. Resident Evil 7 has me wanting to play Resident Evil games or something similar, so if we got either of the aforementioned games that would be awesome. And these are just the rumors for the two PS4 games. Time to play the waiting game... Or just play video games. Yeah. That sounds much better.

PlayStation Plus Games for March 2016

A new month means a new list of PlayStation Plus games available for free for PS Plus subscribers. Earlier this month, PS4 users were able to vote between Assault Android, Action Henk, and Broforce. I, of course, voted for Broforce. Please watch the following video to understand why I voted for Broforce. You will not be disappointed.

March appears to be the lowest amount thus far, but you're easily getting more than what you pay for as a PlayStation Plus subscriber. Whether or not you like these games is a different story though.

With the new PlayStation Plus games list, the grand total has increased to $323.32. That's about $17.96 per game.

PlayStation Plus Games for January and February

Starting mid-February, I will post the games received as a PlayStation Plus subscriber. I'll also list the current prices of each game on the PlayStation Store to give you an idea of the amount of money you're saving. Of course, if you already own the game or don't care about the game, then it doesn't really matter.

Of the six games given to PS Plus subscribers, I already owned Grim Fandango Remastered and Dragon Age: Origins. Unfortunately, I don't really care to try any of the other games I managed to acquire last month.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is the only game I owned in this month's list. Besides Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which I already own anyway, I didn't care much for February's PS Plus games either. Still, we ended up getting $129.94 worth of games this month. In total, we've gotten $244.88 in games. Essentially, PS Plus has paid for itself already.

I'll make sure to post March's list much earlier. I'm barely getting back into blogging, so that's my excuse for writing this post so late into the month.
