January 2022 PlayStation Plus Games

It's been a long time since I've written for this blog of mine. YouTube really became my focus, so that's really the reason why I haven't posted anything in a very long time. It's a new year, so I felt like it was finally time to come back and write some posts every now and then. Let's start off the new year with a PlayStation Plus update.

Beginning today, Persona 5 Strikers, Dirt 5, and Deep Rock Galactic are available to download for PlayStation Plus members. You have up until February 1, 2022 to add these games to your game library.

Here's how much you end up saving, assuming you don't have any of these games already:

• Deep Rock Galactic | PS4 & PS5 | $29.99

January Savings: $149.97
Year-to-Date Savings: $149.97

While Persona 5 Strikers isn't your typical Persona game, it's more Persona 5. It's also pretty great that PS Plus members can get both PS4 and PS5 versions of Dirt 5 and Deep Rock Galactic. Definitely helps add to the value of PlayStation Plus.

May 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

It's a new month, which means new games are coming tomorrow for PlayStation Plus subscribers to add to their PlayStation Library. For the month of May, we're getting one PS5 game and two PS4 games. I like that Sony keeps giving us PS5 games. Even if you have no intention of playing these games, you might as well add them to your Library since you're paying for Plus.

Enough of me rambling though; here's the lineup:

May 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

February Savings: $59.98
Year-to-Date Savings: $329.91

Since Wreckfest: Drive Hard, Die Last is only the PS5 version, I didn't add the price it would be if you bought it since you're not getting the PS4 version.

The only one that I have a slight interest in is Battlefield V. As many of you know, PlayStation Plus can be hit or miss. Personally, the best month so far was February. March gave us Final Fantasy VII Remake, but I already had that game. I hope all of you were able to redeem it and play it though.

April 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

It's April, which means new PlayStation Plus games to add to our PlayStation Library. The new games will become available beginning tomorrow, April 6. There will be three games this time around. Here's the list of games:

February Savings: $89.98
Year-to-Date Savings: $269.93

Much like previous months for another games, I won't be adding a price for Oddworld: Soulstorm since it's only the PS5 version that is free. Since you get both when you buy it from the PlayStation Store, it just doesn't seem right to write that price when you only get the PS5 version for free via PlayStation Plus.

March 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

Four new games come to PlayStation Plus tomorrow. Two are PlayStation 4 games, one is yet another PlayStation 5 game, and the fourth is a PlayStation VR game. Even without PS3 and PS Vita games in the lineup, we're still getting more than 2 games a month. That's nice.

These are the four games you can get for the month of March as a PS Plus subscriber:

• Marquette | PS5 | ???
• Farpoint | PS VR | $19.99

I hesitate to put prices for Final Fantasy VII Remake and Marquette because the PS Plus version of FFVII Remake doesn't let you upgrade to the PS5 version. The PlayStation Plus version of Marquette is only for the PS5 version, whereas the $19.99 version nets you both the PS4 and PS5 versions. This is why I didn't include prices for those two games.

That being said, it's still pretty cool that you can get Final Fantasy VII Remake for free as a PlayStation Plus subscriber. It's a phenomenal game, even if it's just the PS4 version.

February 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

February's PlayStation Plus lineup changes tomorrow. Much like last month, there are three games that PlayStation Plus subscribers can add to their Library, one of which is a pretty big surprise.

These are the three games you can get as a PlayStation Plus subscriber next month:

• Control: Ultimate Edition | PS4 and PS5 | $39.99
• Concrete Genie | PS4 | $29.99

Year-to-Date Savings: $119.97

How cool is that? Two PS5 games for the month of February. Sure, Control: Ultimate Edition is an upgraded PS4 game and not a native PS5 game, but I'm still pretty happy about it considering it is now possible to play Control in 60fps on a PlayStation console.

Like January, this is another weird one. I don't think you can get Destruction AllStars without a PlayStation Plus subscription, so there's currently no price for it. It is available until April 5, 2021.

January 2021 PlayStation Plus Free Games

Happy New Year! I'm a few days late, but whatever. It's a new month, which means there are new games to add to your PlayStation Library if you're a PlayStation Plus Subscriber. This month's lineup includes a PS5 game. Even if you don't have a PlayStation 5, be sure to add it to your Library so you get your moneys worth.

It's pretty cool to see three games in the lineup again. It was a little concerning when they dropped PS3 and PS Vita games from the lineup, not gonna lie.

This is another weird one. You only get the PS5 version of Maneater, which isn't the same as the one listed on the PlayStation Store. The one that's listed on the PlayStation Store gives you the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game. Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the base game, so if you're wanting the extras from the Definitive Edition version of the game, you'll have to pay $19.99 to get that content.

Because I only know the true price for Greefall, I guess we'll have to say you're saving $49.99 this month, and assuming you don't have this game already. That being said, I'm excited to play Maneater. It looks like a pretty silly game, despite the setting.

What do you think of this month's lineup? Not a bad way to kickoff the year as a PlayStation Plus subscriber in my opinion. Last month's lineup wasn't great. I think this one is definitely better.

December 2020 PlayStation Plus Free Games

Starting today, PlayStation Plus subscribers can get Worms Rumble, Just Cause 4, and Rocket Arena for free until January 5, 2021. The last time I played a Worms game was way back when Worms Armageddon was on PC. That game was really fun and funny.

It's the last month of the year, so let's see how much PlayStation Plus saved us, assuming we didn't have any of these games, of course.

The version of Just Cause 4 that's for sell on the PlayStation Store isn't the same one being offered for free, so that's why it has question marks instead of a price.
